downloading local videos in Opera

When i try to download a local video, it waits 10 seconds on the page, as needed, and then proceeds to load the MV in the browser... as a text file....

I *could* let it download like that and then save the file thru the File>Save As menu.... but it eats up a lot of memory to display ~50mb MPEG files as text in a browser.

Does anyone have a workaround to this annoying little bug with Opera?
(i really hate IE and will never ever use it unless Satan compels me to)

what version of opera are you using?...I have 6.05 and this is not a problem...
