Uploading
I don't think the actual problem here is being seen. In order to be able to upload, you first have to put in the information in the step process. Anime, Music and so forth. However, both of the Anime and Music sections, won't register that I've even chosen something as being there. I try to upload, and it of course says that my video needs an anime title and what music is in it. Each time I try and put that in, after I leave that particular screen it still says it's not there. That's the real problem here.

I'm not trying to actually 'upload' the video, im trying to actually get the FILE on to the server somewhere. I have no link for the vid, but I thought that was where it was supposed to show where the file was on my comp.Phade wrote:Hey Pyle,
If you're trying to actually upload your vid, you should use the information on the "video upload" page with your FTP client (all information about FTP is linked on the video upload page) and not use step 4 of your video info. If you are just trying to link your vid to an external server, you're in the right section, but you will have to be more descriptive on the steps you are taking to try to put the link info in.

I searched for a spot to show it where the video was, but it just didnt give me one. Now it's 9 pm on Friday and I've run out of time . I guess I'll be uploading my videos in two and a half weeks.

Hey Pyle,
Phade.
Copying your vidoe file from your computer to the server is called "uploading" (as opposed to copying a file from the server to your computer which is called "downloading"). The only way to upload your file to the server is with FTP.Pyle wrote:I'm not trying to actually 'upload' the video, im trying to actually get the FILE on to the server somewhere. There isn't a spot to show where the video is on your computer. That's what FTP is for. Sorry for the confusion.Pyle wrote:I searched for a spot to show it where the video was, but it just didnt give me one. Now it's 9 pm on Friday and I've run out of time . Re: Uploading
You have to save those settings, it's really quite simple but if you don't look carefully if can be confusing.squeechan wrote:I don't think the actual problem here is being seen. Hey,
For the Music and Anime information about videos, here is what you must do:
step 2: MUSIC
Adding a song to the video:
1. Choose the artist from the "artist" drop-down menu. Page will refresh.
2. Choose the song from the "song" drop-down menu. Page will not refresh.
3. Click the "add" button. Page will refresh.
The music should then be listed in the "music in this video" tab at the bottom of the music listing page that you have been looking at this whole time. If the musical artist or song is not listed, please add it using the "new artist" or "new song" buttons.
step 3: ANIME
1. Choose the first letter of the anime you want to add to your vid. Page will refresh.
2. Click the right checkbox next to the name of the anime you want to add.
3. Click both checkboxes next to the anime if the anime contains spoilers.
4. Click the "add" button. Page will refresh.
The anime now should be listed in the "anime in this video" tab at teh bottom of the anime listing page that you have been looking at this whole time. If the anime is not listed, please add it using the "new anime" button.
If you follow these directions, you should be able to successfully add the information needed to upload your vids.
Good luck and have fun!! ^_^

Anime
For the video Inescapable Love, it's supposed to be Star Ocean EX. I noticed just now that it has the song listed on the information, though when I tried to put it on a couple of hours ago it was doing the same thing the anime is doing. Maybe it's just being really slow in adding it in..or something?
