Hey,

phpBB has been integrated into the site as a whole. Upgrading may (or may not) break that integration and damage the workings of the rest of the site. It will need to be researched and tested, but I don't have time for that right now.

LOL! I share your pain, man. I also integrated phpbb (mainly for the user system) into ANN, and now I just have to live with it. ^_^
