Grmph! [uploading problem]

Post by Thaliel » Fri Mar 26, 2004 3:38 pm

I waited for my mpg to FTP-upload for over 2 hours, only to discover it didn't work *cries*
Was the file too big (over 100000 KB)?
and if so, how shall I get it smaller?

It could be. The maximum filesize allowed is 100MB. To make the filesize smaller just encode with less bitrate.

Short answer is to take your MPG encoder settings and turn down the bitrate.

Yup.. By the way, this type of thread belongs in the Video Software Help forum, so next time you have a question pertaining to software (such as your MPEG encoder), please post there instead of here.

Well, the problem is that I just recognised the converter I used put a huge watermark on my vid, so I had to get another...will a Videobitrate of 1150 do?

First of all :?

1 - Your original video (the one with 1000. . . kbs) file it's saved in what format ?

2 - Wich program are you using to try to encode your videos ?

3 - What other programs do you have in your computer ?

4 - What codecs do you have installed in your computer ?

. . . . answer those questions . . . then we can try to help you ^^

Ps: Thanks for the mod who has fixed that annoying subject :?

OK, I'll stop trying AMV.orgs FTP-upload, can't get the file small enough, even with 750 bitrate, it is still 35000KB and has pretty bad quality...I'll try another fTP server.
