I'm so confused, Cookies, I'd like a chocolate chip but you're making them sound bad!

Deleting cookies in Internet Explorer:
1)Open Internet Explorer
2)Click on Tools on the top of the window

If you

And it still doesnt work, use a different browser like

It's better anyways.
Firefox
Opera
Lurid Enchantment - ICYCLOUD

I still get that Error Message..

Post by korei47 » Sun Nov 14, 2004 1:58 am

It just recently started doing that to me too. I deleted cookies, cleared history, ran Ad-Aware, closed my firewall and my antivirus program and changed from IE to Firefox. Its still doing it. Everything is going bad to worse.... I swear, first it started to where it wouldn't D/L things and now its doing this. I am so sad. Seems there's nothing I can do and I don't understand that at all... Any last words of advice anyone?

Props to Badmartial arts on this one, its unnecessary to switch to Firefox or anything else, just do this;

here's how to fix it.

Tools/Internet Options/Security tab

Click on "Custom Level"

Scroll through that list until you find "Automatic prompting for file downloads" Click on "Enable" under that. Bam. Easy, right?

oops my bad on the double post, forgot about this one.

That darn error thing...

Post by korei47 » Fri Nov 19, 2004 4:38 pm

Great news! It stopped! I swear, I didnt DO anything to resolve the issue either. I think it may have had something to do with the satellite- an error on their end. (sounds really odd though) But thanks so much for the help! In case it ever happens again, thanks for finding the solution. U R awesome!

Thanks again!

Is it supposed to take 3 hours to download a video?

Depends on your connection, the filesize of the video, and what time you're downloading.

If you're on a small/slow connection (dial-up), it may take 6hrs to download a 50mb video - I can attest to this average.

If you're trying during 'rush hour' on the org, the site's bandwidth will be maxed and you may be stuck trying for a few extra hours. The best bet in that case, is to come back around 4am and try it then. Or just accept that it's going to take a while and stick with it. Up to you.

Hi, I'm getting that same "You can't download twice within 60 secs" on my first click on the link. But I think it has to do with the Google toolbar I have. It blocks popups, and as soon as I click on the download link, it says popup blocked. But when I click on the link from Google, so I can download (ie, get the popup) it says I am trying twice in 60 secs. AGGHH! Help someone!!!!!
I already told Google to stop blocking this site, but it does anyway, and I think that it makes the site think I am asking twice.

 Had a similar problem with a pop blocker (which I can't disable either...damn you Microsoft)....When the message pops up scroll down your screen a look for a message that says "if the download didn't start already click here"...That should do the trick... :? By clicking on the download block your are reloading the screen and that message will come up.... I no longer have that problem but waiting for that message to appear can get annoying...just try and deal with the alternate way....This way you can download the amv's.. 8-)

[Corran: I believe this is a non-issue now that the org uses perl for file downloads rather than a php script. In either case, I'm having a hard time understanding what information is so useful that caused this thread to be stickied so I'm un-sticking it.
