Opening/Closing Ceremony Videos
I was wondering if I missed something on the website. With so many conventions that have already taken place in the last 15 years, I was wondering if the cons would start making their opening and closing videos available to download over this site. Or there could be a section devoted towards this.
There's some on this page of what I'm referring too.

Why don't you just download it and judge yourself rather then me informing you? That way you can determine for yourself. Sometimes what one person judges something might not be the same as another. That's why I asked this question on the forums.
There is a LONG history of this at anime events going back to the early 80's in Japan.

he's asking more of a technical question, not something based on personal oppinions. A video must contain at least 50% anime to be uploaded onto the donut.isaacada1 wrote:Why don't you just download it and judge yourself rather then me informing you? Some of the past Sakura-Con opening and closing videos were 100% anime and there should be no problem listing them. Their creators could make their own entries.
I think Isaac's question is actually directed at Staff; i.e. whether they want to make an exception in this particular case for content, perhaps in a special segregated category. It's not that big a stretch considering how much the conventions do to support this activity.

I apologize for not being clearer. Yes I was directing this thread towards the staff to find out their opinion on this. I knew about the 50% rule of content. There was plenty of live action in some of the videos so that's why I asked on the forum what the thoughts were of everyone about this. It borders on the edge a bit in not being an amv, and being one.
I'd love to view some of the old AX ones of the early 90's if they were available. I have some of the Daicon ones of the early 80's as well.
