There is not now, and never has been, a shortage of people voting on banners... And further, who'd we make do it? Make people vote on the banners in order to submit new ones?

I've tried! Phade won't let me :-( Now, given, someone could (*hint* *hint*) make a bookmarklet to check all the no boxes. Or maybe I could hide it somewhere....

Hey,

No no. No "check all" button/link/script. If you want to reject a banner, click the vote button next to the banner. It's only 10 at a time. Grrrr... :?

Of course, if its a bookmarklet, it runs in their browser, so not much anyone can do to stop them...

X2, I think it might be about time to bump up the number of votes required again.

I think a system to force people to vote is a bad idea. People who want to, vote. It's that simple. And for people who visit the site a lot it could be a real hassle.

Ik now what you mean, most of my banners are unworthy/rejected too. That I dont mind.
But when my banner is rejected I see another banner what EXACTLY the same text on someone else's banner.. Isn't that rude o_o

I would love to vote on a banner, but I don't know how! Every time I go to the link, I see nothing! Am I missing something?! :?

what really cheeses me off, is i will vote for banners simply to try and get some good and original ones in (i probably give a "worthy" vote to one in every 20), and i notice that i'll reject a banner, and then two or more days later, THE EXACT SAME BANNER IS BEING VOTED UPON AGAIN!. I've seen this happen 3 times with one banner. If i see it again i'm gonna find out who made it and personally track them down and demand to know why they havn't gotten the point yet.

Very true. If people are forced to vote, those of you who want your votes are gonna find out VERY soon that NONE of your banners will get through, as people would just be too agro about the forced voting to care about the banners. A raise of the required number of votes is also an excellent idea, because sometimes i see some of the banners that have been accepted, and you just know that that person must have gotten his friends to vote for it, because there is no way anybody else would have.

I've submitted 3 banners of my own. The first two were rejected (and now that i look at them i agree fully with the rejection) and the other one had a mistake in it i hadn't noticed and was DQed, and i havn't gotten around to fixing it. All 3 banners took ~1 day to go through the system. I think that is waaay to fast. How can banner "artists" not be happy with that? You upload a video, and unless your name is Koop or Kevin Caldwell, you can't expect an opinion for it for a minimum of one to two weeks, unless you get all your friends to leave one. What's wrong with the banner system? Nothing, it works perfectly fine the way it is, the only minor change that might be worthwhile in pursuing to make the whinging masses feel contented is perhaps upping the 10 banners per voting, up to 15 or 20, so more banners can go through the system. If that were the case it'd also be optimal to raise the required number of"Accept" votes.

That's my two cents.

If you disagree, please tell me so, but i'm not changing my opinion on the matter.
