Post by liloshijo » Fri Nov 11, 2005 10:24 pm

im trying to make a banner... but since it has to be 20k or less it looks like crap. what methods or file types do people use to make their banners look so darn crisp and clean? im using photoshop cs and illustrator cs. any advice would be great. thanks.

.jpeg out of photoshop usually does fine.

I would [learn to] use the Save for Web function when exporting files. It gives you finer control over the compression levels and settings.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I use another program that came on my computer... but I save in Jpg at 94% or so and it seems to be alright quality for mine... GIF usually makes things too blocky o.0... I am not sure exactly how to help with your problem though, I bet starting out with high quality pictures can be part of it o.0
