hits? stars? difference?

:? ok, i have uploaded many amvs, and i am a user since last year, and i STILL am gettin confused between the number of hits and stars! i only understand the term star average. My question is very easy, what is da number of hits? and what is da number of stars? :?

A hit is when someone views the video description. A star is when some one downloads the video and gives it a star rating.
