Well, for example, I could post a rant saying how much I thought Niotex sucked. People could get upset and me and start cursing me out. Then I go change my original post to something innocent and report all the people who cursed me out to the mods.

This is a somewhat extreme example, it'd probably be more fun and cause more confusion to misquote people saying insulting things and then claim they edited their post later, but it should give you an idea of what can be done.

With a lot of people bitching, something MUST be wrong. Now, if you all were flaming Sammy, I wouldn't know what to do since you guys treat him as if he were a sin. :/

godix i respect your example though i dont see it actualy happening for real... i mean 99% of the boards here is like family... and if edited so people would have seen it and actions could then be taken... after rereading i find myself with a lack of sense but what ever... you get my point... 99% of the active memeber wouldnt even consider this and the other 1% is just to stupid to come up with a lame ass joke like that...

anyway ill let you guys think about it... personaly i dont see it to be that big of a risk in lame edite jokes...

Edits that amount to abuse have already happened, actually.

There is no "edge" in "privilege," and there is no "Edit button" in "most sections of this forum."

I realize that the former is highly difficult to understand, but once an individual begins to understand it, that individual may be more inclined to live with the latter.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Are you on drugs? I'd do it within 24 hours of noticing I had an edit button.

Thank you, godix, for illustrating the problems inherent in an edit button so clearly.

At current, no. It's too easily subjected to abuse.

I believe Corran recently edited his post because he thought the information might help us help him or w/e. I don't see why we can't get the same priviledge.
The link I orginially posted had a bootleg section. I can't moderate myself when I accidentally break the rules? Hell, I even left a mod note in my own post explaining my actions.
