User name Change Request Thread (was: Changing user name)

Well I want my name to be changed to Phade.

No, I'm kidding. You do that and I'll... Um... Do something.

And Hatter, aren't those accounts still banned? Last I heard, if it's a permanent ban, it can't be unbanned at all... So how could you merge them? Just a thought.

Anything is possible, I mean, it's just PHP code, not that difficult to alter/merge table data. I'm sure the reasoning is more vengeance based than anything, after all, I haven't exactly always been um...well very nice and there are quite a few people around here, mods included, who REALLY don't like me very much. In fact I'm actually a lil surprised that the account I've currently been using hasn't been banned as well considering how little it used to take to get banned (I guess maybe AD is a little more mellow and less high strung than Phade). *shrugs*

To be perfectly honest, my account merge requests were asked more in jest, I wasn't actually ever expecting it to happen.

I do find it a lil funny though in that the primary goal of this site is supposedly to document and keep track of AMVs and AMV artists...however apparently only if you sieg heil mein furor and *gasp* heaven forbid don't break any Internet chatty board rules!

It's not the banning that ever really bothered me (cause honestly, it doesn't take much to create a new account or 50), it's the fact that my work as an AMV artist was screwed with all because of some chatty board. That's why I won't list any of my videos on the .org anymore. I figure if it's good enough for Kevin, it's good enough for me.

Heh, it is going to be difficult to identify editors if they keep making such drastic name changes.

would it be too much trouble to ask for an account merge?

I messaged Phade about it a year ago, and he said the merge thing was in the works. So much for that...

I'd require the account "segaismysavior" to be merged with "doughboy." Ideally I'd like the single video/review and profile of "doughboy" put into the other, then have that account renamed to doughboy. I don't know which would be easier, but the older account has more meat to it (journals, videos, joining date).
