Whether or not we all think prod is better then Deaf Jester doesn't matter. If the user wants his name to be something, then he has the right to that. No one on here should have the right to change it without the users consent, least of all an admin who 'just doesn't like the name.' It's not for us to decide, it's his name.

Not if it's something other than the name he originally signed up with. We all knew that when we joined the site.

I've always been under the impression that the mods are doing us a favor by responding to these requests, nothing more.

That's fine. If I was originally told "no you can't change your name" then I'd deal with it. But to do the name change, leave it that way for well over 6 months and then just be like "lolnothisisyournamenowandiwon'tchangeitback" is rather childish.

Yes, they definitely do a favor by allowing us to change our names, I'm not trying to be disrespectful.
I would agree if you just couldn't change your name. But having a request to change someones name be granted, and mods just changing names for the fun of it, are different stories. (as it is, what his name is now, is not his original name.)
I fully believe it was all in good fun, I was just kinda annoyed and responding to all the 'drama' surrounding this. It's dumb, just let him have whatever name he wants :P

Honestly, the name is universally despised (and was actually discussed during ACen, which helped prompt this). But if you really, really, really want it back (and give a reason why you'd want to have it back despite everyone thinking that "Prodigi" is way more awesome; through PM is fine), I'll regretfully give it back to you.

There's a difference between changing someone's name without their permission for the hell of it (an abuse of power) and that someone then calling you a jew, in jest (pun intended), to try and keep the mood light.

They're both childish, imo. I thought My response to your jew comment was also light hearted, especially since afterward you posted this emote:  None of this was intended to me malicious, and your responses seemed to indicate that you did not find it to be.

So, do you want your name back then? Yay or nay?
