Screwy .Org Error Messages, 504 errors, and other such fun

You are now the proud owner of a screwy error message from .Org. That error message is: Operation timed out with 330 out of 330 bytes received Please report this in the forums.

I have never uploaded with a browser before. Does anyone know a list of browsers that support uploading? I used a combonation of firefox & safari for mac. Any ideas on what to do next?

Try the confirm again; it'll probably work.

tried what you said, didnt work. What I am doing is using firefox to click the blue link that begins with "ftp". I go to a white page with

"Index of ftp://vunaprupri@kero.animemusicvideos.org/

Up to higher level directory"

The adress bar reads
ftp://kero.animemusicvideos.org/

I then drag the file from my "movies" folder on my hard drive to the page. The page then has the adress bar
file:///Users/sabrinamueller/Movies/emoon.avi
The movie will then play with no sound. The page is completely blank except for the movie. I am probably missing a step

The 1st time I tried, I used Safari. When I clicked the link, a "new hard drive" appeared on my desktop. It said something similar to the username & ftp address of kero, no password. I tried to drag my file into it, but got a message that it could not be modified. Help!!!

You can't drag a file onto firefox to upload it; that opens the file instead. You'll need an actual FTP client (the one showing on the desktop, unfortunately, only supports downloads. Maybe Tiger will fix that; won't know until tomorrow.)

Anyway, some quick searching finds http://www.panic.com/transmit/ might be a nice, easy-to-use FTP client for Mac. Personally, I've always used the command-line one, but that's just me

Used to use Fetch under pre-X, but not sure if that is still around.

Okay, I've been reading all of the posts with the funky error thing and I got one too. I was trying to upload my first video! *cries* I tried confirming it multiple times but it just says the same thing and that I should report it to the forums. Does this mean that because of the server move, should I wait until they are moved or has that already happened...? I am so confused!

Yeah, errors are pretty likely right now given that the upload server is currently in the trunk of derobert's car.

Read the news post, we are moving servers and today is upload server move day.

I got that message too. I was just trying upload my file, and the ftp server wouldn't even connect, so it never actually uploaded. But the button is showing up as "Confirm Video" instead of "Upload Video" now. Will that be fixed when the server is back up? Or will I need to go about having it removed (even though there's nothing there) and upload it then?
