How long does it take to generate previews?

I searched the forum with 'preview' and couldn't find the right answer to my problem.
I've uploaded the file(H.264/AAC) for local hosting, but it seems the preview option is not available yet.

fyi here's some info I've searched:
1. previews are automatically generated with local files, but takes some time.
- It's been about 2 weeks since the upload. I wouldn't expect that, but can't say for sure.

2. if the song is never been used before, it has to be confirmed before generating previews.
- I think this might be the case, the song I used was not in the catalog so I added it.
- if this is the problem here, do I get notified if the song is *not* confirmed and previews will not be available?

x264_encoder_open failed.
FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver.

Exiting...

It seems there was some problem with the encode. I now restarted it, but in case it fails again, you might want to try and upload a new encode, perhaps chaning the encode settings/the container.

Guess this thread suits what I experienced. I've re-uploaded a bunch of videos about 10 days ago and none of them is avaiable in preview. Why?

Actually, your local videos with no preview give another error:

Video does not exist on server despite videos.local = TRUE! Aborting encode.

Not quite sure what causes this, though.

Actually, it's due to the preview renderer getting a bit clogged up. Usually after a few botched encodes it holds up the entire system, causing a backlog of encoding despite the video encodes reporting that they should exist. It's one of those bugs that just builds up and can't really be quashed until it happens.

I'm going through now and setting every video that produced an error to re-encode. If it's still giving you that error, let us know here and I'll try something else.

Weeelll..., my previews have still not been generated

It's not bothering me much since it's all old videos that have been re-uploaded...but I wouldn't mind if it got fixed either...
