I under stand you wont people in the forum so yo have to join to DL vids thats cool. But the two weeks wait isnt cool at all. I suppose its there so ppl dont just join DL and then leave (AND THATS NOT WHAT I INTEND TO DO.) But I mean two hole weeks. Hearing you guys talk about these vids makes me really wanna see them. Specialy since the indirect link for supa viggito only has 5 vids.

I thought the two-week waiting period only applied to downloading local videos? You should still be able to download from the direct and indirect links.

You don't have to wait! Back when the local (the pre-donut carrot) started it was more like a 4wk wait according to join date. That was much worse, but even then there was a quick way around having to wait. Just donate and the waiting period will be waved. ^.~

Well, I don't remember if it was really 4 weeks or not. I do know it was a lot longer than 2 wks for those who were just joining - they were making local free for all when it first started. Those who'd been members longest were the first to get access to it (back before the mandatory wait or pay period). So for someone just joining the wait was quite a while - couldn't upload to local or download until everyone was able to do so - new members being the last on the list. I'd have to look through the old threads to know exactly how long the wait was. All I know is the only way to get instant access was to donate at least $50 - otherwise you'd have to wait until it got to your section of the member list.

But back then the plan was to have instant access for all new members. The two week waiting (pay or wait) period didn't take effect right away. I'm not really sure when that started, just that it came as a surprise to me since I thought the plan was to have donators pay for instant access for those wanting to download their vids. I remember being very unhappy when I found out that new members had to wait before downloading - even after the 'free for all' date was reached.

Still, you can now donate to get past the two week wait, and 2 weeks aren't really that long if you're just waiting to download something. And I don't think you have to donate much to get instant access (wave the waiting period). It could be like it was originally - have to donate a certain amount before you can get immediate access. [If it's like that now, I didn't realize. Again, I haven't checked the new rules for new members.]
