Extremely frustrated with downloading

Post by kaine23 » Sun Mar 14, 2004 10:19 am

I'm not using a download accelerator so that's not the issue right now. I've tried downloading videos and I'm constantly getting errors saying I'm attempting a download too soon after a previous one, when all I've tried was dling 1 video. Thi shas bene happening the past few days since my 2-weeks probation period ended and I'm getting really frustrated with this.

Hey,

When the local page comes up, does the download start automatically or do you click the "click here if it doesn't start" link?

Download usually goes to start automatically a couple seconds after the link appears. Either automattically or by clicking the link I get the "a download too soon after a previous one" error message. :(

Try waiting a minute or 2 to click the link because there is a wait between the periods of when you can dl AMVs on Local.

If you're trying everything, then you might as well try clearing your cookies.

Log out of the site and close your internet browser.
Right-click the Internet Explorer icon and go to 'Properties.'
Click 'delete cookies'
click 'delete files'
click 'settings' and then 'view files'
select all and delete anything that remains
go back to the main menu and click 'clear history'
open a new browser and log back in and try downloading again.

It may not do the trick, but that's usually the first thing you should try if you're using IE.
