You can get there by clicking the text "banner ad contest" on the right side of the members main page.

Just go to your forum profile and change your signature to something like:

I thought that might work. But I didn't know if the sytax (or whatever) was the same as the message.
I know I need to upload it, thank you very much.
But I don't want another program or what ever to use. My Geocities worked for a while. Now it not. Is image shareing from geocities a violation of the contract, or what ever who cares. I don't know.

Dobble post, apologize.
I always use gifs (they're smaller). Upload it (for free) only suports jpg. Acctually it says it suports jpeg.
Whats the diffrence from jpg to jpeg?
Whats the diffrence from mpg to mpeg?
All I know about mpeg is that I can't make it play on my DVD player and I can't change it to an mpg to play it.

There is no difference. They are just different extensions for the same filetype. Like .htm and .html.

I use OurWorld to host my images. You can use Geocities too if you sneakily rename the image files to .txt. They should still show up all right in browsers.

But at what price in quality? And by the way, this is by no means necessarily true.

In general, .GIFs are better for images that have mostly a few solid (or near solid) colors. .JPGs are better for things like photographs.

And of course, .JPGs can't be animated, while .GIFs can.

Yeah, gifs can reduce quality. For a larger file, or like a wallpaper I'd use Jpg. Other than that I create my own colour pallate for the gif. The last gif I created only had 24 colours but you couldn't tell the diffrence from the orriginal (It hleped that there were only Black, Grey and Red). Its probably more trouble than its worth to make a colour pallet though.
Now that I think about it, I only use gifs for small files, like avatars and stuff. I'v been working with gifs so much latly that I haven't used jpg in a long time.
I'm a moron.
Oh, thanks for the information.
