Newbies sending private messages that only say "hi"

A few newbies have sent me private messages that say nothing but "hi", (Actually one them gave me a link to their AMV.), and I find it a little annoying. I don't know if I'm the only one, but still, It would be good if you tell them not to do this. I don't see the point

TO ALL THE NEW BLOOD AROUND HERE; UNLESS YOU WANT TO ASK ME SOMETHING SPECIFIC IN REGARDS TO a-m-v.org, ASK ME SOMETHING ABOUT ONE OF MY VIDEOS, COMMENT ON ONE OF MY VIDEOS; DO NOT SEND ME ANY PRIVATE MESSAGES!!!!!!!

I've gotten four or five "Hi." messages myself. I just delete them like I do any other spam. If they can't be bothered to write a coherent or relevant message, why should I trouble myself to respond?

They annoy me, but there's really not a lot I can do except ignore it.

You know, it'd be hilarious if you suddenly were flooded with a bunch of "hi" private messages.

I've received several "hi" Private Messages, but I personally don't mind. I reply back with a "Hey" and a conversation takes place. They're not exactly spam to me- just people who want either help or company.

Now what I want to know is, what are you suggesting to do specifically?
