download problem

I haven't seen this one mentioned. I have successfully downloaded and watched one video. Since then, whenever I try to do another, following the exact same routine, I get the screen, but the video never plays. It just keeps saying "buffering..." at the bottom. I am new, so if this sounds stupid I'm sorry.

The video you downloaded, was it a 'DIRECT' link? Or an 'INDIRECT' link? If so, then you were probably streaming the videos. To download the 'LOCAL' vids, make sure you don't hit 'open' when the box pops up. When you click the link to download, you'll get a box that asks what you want to do - to open, or to save. You need to save the local files, then open them in your media player.

If you did download (save) the video, and it just won't play when you try to bring it up in your media player, what media player are you using? And what was the extension on the video? (extension - wmv, avi, rm, qt, mov)

The Moonslayer Guide gives detailed, step-by-step, illustrated directions on how to find and download an AMV. The How to Play Those Damn Videos! guide gives instructions, including what software you need, to play them once you've downloaded them. Hope this helps.
