What the heck is wrong with the FTP server????

Post by RamonesFan2020204 » Sat Jul 02, 2005 8:18 pm

I was able to successfully upload three of my AMVs to the local server today, but after that, I tried uploading several others even now, and the Connection keeps failing! Is there something wrong with the server?

More likely your connection is unstable.

I doubt the connection has anything to do with it.

An unstable connection can be caused by either end, as well as a point in the middle. The ends are the most problematic. Absent any other reports of trouble, the likely culprit is your end.

Well if this is your theory, how do I fix it?

Immediately, I see two options:
1) Just keep trying.
2) Complain to your ISP, and pray they care enough to do something

1 is more likely to be effective.

By "connection failing" do you mean that you can't connect at all, or can you upload some before the connection drops?

No smart remarks, please; these are two different things, and there's two different courses of action that follow.

I too am having problems uploading videos. For me, the connection starts, and then I begin uploading. The time left goes from 30 minutes to over 5 hours in about 20 seconds, then my connection fails.
