Of course it does, the loss of an endangered animal is what is at stake here. If there were enough tigers very few people would have a large problem with killing them for legitimate uses. Beavers, minks, marmots and other small animals were all killed for legitimate use. This continued because there were enough of them, although now the population of many types of animals has decreased to such a point that hunting and killing them wouldn't be a good idea, but if there were enough to hunt and keep the population stable at the same time, I don't see why anyone would have any huge problem killing them. Once something becomes more widely done it is generally accepted easier into normal society. So if Tigers were bred en masse and kept on 'farms' if you will, there would be no problem with using them for legitimate purposes, as long as they were trated humanely and were killed in the same manner.
I don't want this to turn into an immature flame topic, as so many of the topics you grace your presence with turn to. If you're thinking of starting something, just forget it.

Tigers are not raised to be killed as far as I can tell. They're on different grounds. While true, they are both animals and both live lives, one is grown to be used for consumption and one isn't. Simple as that.
Your logic is HORRIBLY frightening, I just want you to know that.
I suddenly remember some guy by the name of Swift. o_O

Man is the ruler of the world, he is smarter and has better tools than any animal. Since this is so, he should be able to eat/use any animal he wants to in any way he sees fit. As long as it does not endanger the population of the animal in question. Also remember, different parts of the world eat different things, so what's taboo here in our minds is an everyday thing for others. I am not saying what the man in the article did was correct, it was not, the animals were clearly being exploited and abused, if he had been treating them humanely and slaughtering/disposing of them correctly he would have done nothing wrong in my books. Animals were put on earth to survive, and survive animals will. The top of the food chain belongs to man, and he has every right to partake in the bounty of any animal he sees fit, as long as it complies with the moral standpoints put forward above.

Ah, what a great work that was. Good ol' Swift, master of satire. Mmm... well, I'm going to boil some infants right now.Dannywilson wrote:The true meaning of baby back ribs.
But don't you worry, I raised to be boiled.
