I HATED Wild Arms 3 (one you didn't mention... maybe you feal the same... or maybe you've not played it, well) Mostly cuz it's too much like a generic Skies of Arcadia (Sega) that's made by Sony (the company most responsible for Sega's demise, if not for Sega) but... and I do hate puzzles in my games. THEY'RE GAMES!!

Anyway if your an anime fan and you haven't played Grandia or the Tales series... shame SHAME!

Grandia I = one of the best RPGs ever. The sense of adventure, fun, and exploration it inspires has yet to be matched, IMHO. Grandia II improved on the combat system, but the story and characters weren't as fun as the first. Grandia X: combat is still great, but the story and characters were flat and I couldn't get into this game.

Tales series = combat mingles RPG sensibilities with a 2d fighter. Pretty entertaining, but it can be time consuming even against weak opponents, and the random battles get old. The stories aren't anything spectacular. It is the characters that make these games fun.

Square's Vagrant Story is and isn't an RPG in the classical sense of the word. But the story is rivetting enough that if you've never had a chance to play the game, check it out.

Super Mario RPG: for the SNES...this game should have sucked. But for some reason I still enjoy playing it.

The "Fallout" series of games. Except for Fallout Tactics and that console one that's coming out.

Fallout 3 might be on the way.

Fallout 2 was too easy with the Advanced Power Armor and Bozar, though. And the game was rather buggy. Those are my only real gripes.

oops i guess i forgot to mention grandia lol(sake of irony its actually out and right next to me). and wild arms3 i didnt mention it cuz i thought the graphics sucked ass chips and i just generally have and dont no what to do with it.

back to grandia its really GOOOOD just finished the first one(finally). i have the second one(thats the one i started with) and im up to the last boss i cant win ::sniff::sniff:: and grandia x needs work the ppl are way to bitchy(and the main character whines wayyyyy to much). over all i say it isnt to bad but the 1 and 2 were the best.

Valkyrie Profile is godly. No pun intended. It's a little hard to find, though, apparently.

You said you've played Suikoden - good, 'cause that'd be my next recommendation. ;)

Also, the Lunar games (Silver Star Story Complete and Eternal Blue) are fun, and have a good sense of humor, too.
