What the HECK?!
Did anyone hear about that thing that they are currently trying to pass to make it a law?
They are trying to make this thing to become a law where you cannot download things like music or shows or movies or anything!!! I mean, minor things like downloading pictures are accepted but you can't download MUSIC!!! You can't download movies or episodes of anything or even just shows!!!!!!!!!! You can only download things from sites that the law gives permission to. You can't download music videos either but at animemusicvideos.com is exceptional. I am hoping that it doesn't become an official law.

Yeah, they actually already passed that law. It's called the US Constitution.
"the Congress shall have power . . . to promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries."
Followed shortly by the Copyright Act of 1790 which gave producers of original work exclusive rights to their work for 14 years. Major revisions to the act were made in 1831, 1870, 1909, and 1976.
The revisions made in 1976 essentially extended the length of copyright ownership to a length of the life of the author plus 50 years (works for hire were protected for 75 years).
The DMCA, signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1998, incorporated parts of the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) treaties into American copyright law/regulation. Downloading copyrighted songs is like stealling a CD and downloading copyrighted movies is like stealling a DVD/VHS tape (and it has been ever since before people started to do it)
So yeah, in America, it has been illegal to steal peoples copyrighted works since 1787.
