Your forum personaity vs Your real life personality

How many people act differently on the forums then they would in real life?

I guess i'm somone wiht 2 personalitys ... not a mental disorder mind you ... When i'm posting on the Forums, i usualy "talk" a lot and blatantly make a loud fool out of myself for the sake of humor. However in real life, unless i'm with close friends i generaly try to avoid talking unless it's necessary ... exspecialy if im in a car or soemthign ... i never talk in the car for some reason.

How about you guys?

hmmm ... both of you guys know people on the forums in real life right? That might be why. I really hate being ridiculed in real life ... because i neiter know any of you, nor will i ever meet any of you, i don't have taht same fear, and thats probalby why i'm different on teh forums then i am in real life. However you guys probalby have your own reasons. I jsut don't like to talk, therefore i'm usualy quiet when i'm in the public.

They are not totally different for me, I am probably more social online though.

It's not online and offline, it's more of a difference between how I talk and write.

On the other hand, it also depends on who I'm talking to. With my friends - I talk pretty much in the same language & manner as I post on the forums here.

Im such a nice person in real life.I take it up the ass and let everyone walk over me. If someone asks me to jump, I ask how high. Then I get stomped upon. And yet I go back to those same ppl because I know they need me, and I care.

The forum is my anger outlet.

I'd have to say I'm about the same as Otohiko. I act about the same way here as I do with my friends. If I meet someone new though, in real life, I'm kinda shy.

I agree with Otohiko. I tend to write a lot of stuff differently than I would say it. But I tend to be the same person, trying to make a witty joke or two, or having intelligent conversation (which I so get very little time to do with my friends, because, well, they aren't the brightest). So really, a lot of this forum has been conversation with new people. But I treat this a lot like a second school hall, so I'll most likely act here like I would at school before class.
