[/url]The code reveals (among other things):
Team Fortress 2 is the Multiplayer componant of HL2, and all the classes/vehicles/maps have been revealed for this game.
A New version of Counter Strike was also included.
Several new vehicles (including a JetSki!) and weapons were revealed for HL2 single player.
etc etc.
This is REALLY bad news for valve. In addition to tipping their hand and revealing all their secrets, they are now in danger of serious legal action from the creators of the Havok Physics Engine (because the source of that engine was also included in the leak), which Valve had licenced, in addition to putting the games release date in SERIOUS jepordy, which would then put Valve in danger of legal action from ATi, who paid 8 million dollars to package HL2 in with their fall line of Radeon cards.
Not to mention that STEAM, Valve's piracy-proof distribution and matchmaking service, has been COMPLETELY compromised because the entire source code including all security files and codes have been compromised.
This is a pretty shitty day for Valve guys.
Oh, and on top of that, new rumors from VERY reliable sources (A developer friend of mine from IGN has friends in Valve) are saying that a heck of a lot more got out than Valve is admitting publicly. A heck of a lot more being the entire game, decompiled, with all art elements, et al.
