Ever experienced buyer's remorse?

Has anyone ever experienced buyer's remorse? You buy something, and then a couple of hours later, you reproach yourself for buying it. You tell yourself you should not have bought it, you should have spent the money on something else, should have put it in the bank etc. I get that a lot - even when buying manga. It's particularly easy to get when the manga is in Japanese and your comprehension of Japanese is low.

So what are you stories of buyer's remorse? And how do you cope with it?

Yes, very often. The best way of dealing with it is to take the thing back and get a refund.

If you still want it after a while and it's clearly not an impulse buy, then go ahead and buy it again.

Yah every now and then. Mainly when something I want even more comes out, and I can't afford it due to what I spent on the previous item.

Time to clense it!

I remember one time where I have $20, and I plan to buy the first volume of Evangelion or Slayers for VHS (I didn't have a DVD player at the time). It's one of those situations where it's hard to choose; I then choose the Slayers. Luckily months later, I got the first volume of Eva on DVD so I guess it balances everything out.
