One good example of a series getting butchered and taken away from us is Vision of Escaflowne. Anyone remember that on american T.V.? I got all worked up into it and made plans to see it everyday and then...bam! The over censoring casued the show to go off the air! *Sniffle* T'was a sad day until i bought it all on DVD! Mwahaha! No more censoring for me!

There are plenty of things that you cannot edit out because of their relivance to the plot, imagine what a great film like 'a clockwork orange' would be like if they edited out anything objectionable.

I hate censorship, you get it worst over there though cuz you see all of the american celebrities on TV here and they're really amazed that you can curse freely, very comical. It's just a money spinner cuz afterwards they always release the directors cut or the version with the extras, it pisses me off to know that someone else is deciding what I watch, damn you Big Brother(like the book)

ahhh but your wrong... it's not the manufacturers fault the anime on tv is edited... it's the fucking fcc, congress, or whoever makes these silly laws, and it's the fault of the company because they request said edited anime, if they requested the original anime i'm sure the manufacturer would have no issues sending it to them and the manufacturer only edits it to the guidelines of said silly laws... so you just made a very stupid comment that makes you out to be a complete idiot... god i'd hate to see your children, or the person they come from o_O their gonna be the kind of kids that cry when somebody says goddamn....
