thats the one i was thinking of. xenosaga is really good from what i hear and seen in mags(game informer). havent had the time to get it and play it. theres also dark cloud2 that uses cells but is good and challening if u try everything. u also mentiond chrono. dunno if you've played them both or not so the first one is called chrono trigger and the second is called chrono cross both for ps1 and theres arc the lad for ps1. legend of the dragoon is not all that great but not all that bad. also on game boy adavance there is a new final fantasy tactics game coming out. i love those games some im gonna get that and there is also final fantasy:crystal chronicle for gba and game cube. wish i had a game cube. there is also icewind dale 2 for pc. this has a great rpg engine in it. this is a 80 or so hour game if u do the bare mininum and 200+ if u do everything so the mag says but its not out untill end of august.Farmboybob wrote:I'd have to agree with dwb. All his choices are about the same as mine. Except I'd have to add Xenogears (haven't played Xenosaga yet but I hear it's ok)

i've played most of the final fantasy games.
final fantasy 6 is like... well it totally owns all the final fantasy series. If only they remade it for ps 2 with like ultimate graphics as well as keeping the storyline... they could do so muych better to make that the ultimate game.
There needs to be like an rpg that is like samurai based. (No not onimusha) I mean like they had in final fantasy but with a more flexible combat system as well as a rich plot. To be able to like tour japan and stuff. And have like... needing like two to four players each one controlling their own character through cooperation and stuff.
now I know that that alone would be a very difficult to code... but wouldn't it be cool?

Idunno I thought the majic butterfly in Grandia 2 was easy lol -_- but the one boss that had my number in that game was those dam eyes. Second time around they even killed me (of coarse I was using nothing but items cuz I knew it was the end.) The tree in G1 was also AMAZINGLY easy, didn't even get a hit off -_- anyway if you need help look to www.gamefaqs.com
Yeah and though Grandia 1 starts out SOOOO slow (till you get on the ship imho) I do love it and am a regular on the G1 board there lol just gotta give a shot out

gah! *need edit button or something like gamefaqs where you delete the last msg it disapeers.*
I suggest you get the Lunar Legends GBA game, it's both lunars w/o the cinematics. On that subject (but WAY out of left feild ) I found a lunar AMV off Kazaa called Pokonoi, I'm impressed. Have NO idea who did it though... or how I found it. I have a Grandia AMV from a peep on gamefaqs, it's pretty good -_- mad though cuz he didn't include the lollipop scene...

I would reccomend the whole final fantasy series (8 was my favorite, I dont know why), Super mario RPG, Suikoden 1 and 2 (not 3 its pretty crappy compaired to the first 2).
I believe that suikoden 2 was one of the best RPG's that I have ever played.
Xenogears was really long and pretty good, Grandia 1 and 2 were ok.
wild arms. Hmm I have played many more but I cant think right now.
I do own Xenosaga and am really enjoying it right now. The battle system is similar to Xenogears but the story is AWESOME. I would say that this game is a mix betweene an adventure and RPG. I say this because there are some sequenses that you just watch for about a half hour. It is an over all good game so far, and I am enjoying it more than I did final fantasy X.
