You guys just have to ignore the trolls. That's all. The more you respond to them - for or against - the more attention they get, and the more important you make them.

I don't think net relationships are better than any other kind. They're difficult, but basically they're the same as anything else. *shrugs*

Those issues can be roadblocks but they're really just the effects of the people behind them. You can distrust someone IRL too, it's just magnified online. I think the basic consensus between me and minnie last night was that it's possible to do, it's just that most fail, because too often the people behind it are idiots and are incapable of being true and having honest intentions.

I wasn't being personally defensive insomuch as I saw that a bunch of shit went down against long distance relationships and I decided to put in an opposite (or perhaps levelling) viewpoint for the sake of the debate.
