Who got FF XI?

For most MMORPGs there are a variety of payment plans. Usually 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. Generally the longer you sign up for, the less it costs per month, (as an incentive to get you to play longer). Payment is always, in my experience, by credit card, although some may take paypal nowadays.

Anyway, I'm gonna pass on FFXI. It looks like just another "kill monsters, to get money, to buy better equipment, to kill bigger monsters, to get more money. . ." type of thing. Personally I've got my mind set on Horizons when it comes out. At least that has something of an overall plot, and your actions have a real effect on the world.

It depends on what server you get put on. It seems that all the friends I know that got the game were put on different servers... I'm on the "Cerberus" world server...

ok, some bad F*KING news hit me yesterday....i need a better graphics card.

any suggestions on what i should buy?

i was thinkg a ATI RADEON 9000 at 256, or maybe a NVIDIA GeForce w/32m

I say get the Radeon. I just like them better. If you want to go all out, and not have to get a new graphics card for a long time, get what I have, the Radeon 9800 Pro. It runs circles around all the competition.

I'm aiming for something in the below $100 to $200 range.

I found a 9800 Pro with 256 ram for $428, and the 124 version for $156, over at http://www.pricewatch.com.

Umm, yeah maybe the 9000 is the best choice for you. It is the cheapest but I'm guessing I will get the job done, but be sure to read the game requirements FIRST or you might end up screwing yourself.
