Killing randomly is bad, killing cuz God declares something unjust or evil is allowed. Same as our government says. Killing people here is bad, but let's gun down some tigers and police Iraqi's.

Yes, but our government is run by men, they aren't infallible. Our govt makes mistakes. God is supposed to be infallible so he never does anything wrong. Men do things wrong so you can't be surprised when they act badly - seeing God doing the same thing changes all the rules.MinnieMoose wrote:Killing randomly is bad, killing cuz God declares something unjust or evil is allowed. My goodness. I actually got you guys to calm down for a minute? I'm in shock...
I know that it's hard--religion is constructed so as to be incredibly personal--but if this stays relatively calm, there's no reason this thread can't keep going. The problem with this sort of thing in general is that just about everybody turns out hypocritical--people start flaming each other, thus becoming just like the people they complain about.
As the immortal Mike Myers once said, "There are two kinds of people that I hate: those who are intolerant of other people, and the Dutch."
