Wellllll... my dad tried to get me an anime calendar last Christmas, but the not-so-savvy bookstore clerk must've underestimated the age when he said "for my daughter," 'cause he ended up with a Yuugiou calendar.
That was my best poker face EVER.
I mean, he didn't know, and apparently the clerk didn't know, so I wasn't offended or anything. Oh well, I appreciate the attempt. Unless it's computer hardware, my dad isn't the best gift purchaser ever, so y'know, at least it wasn't a sweater I'll never wear.
But, now I have a ton of junk on my Amazon wishlist, and people know about it, so I might get gifts of things I want this time around.
Who gets anime-related gifts?

oh .. "christmas sweaters" ... sweaters that are so ugly that their only allowed to see the light of day once a year ... yea i have plenty of those ... most of them were given to my by my uncle when he was cleaning out his closet ... those things are prime candidates for clothign donations places.SarahtheBoring wrote:my dad isn't the best gift purchaser ever, so y'know, at least it wasn't a sweater I'll never wear.

Aaw... it should, since that's how I got all my goods with the exception of Metropolis...azulmagia wrote:I think notTrident wrote:I buy myself anime stuff for Christmas and Birthdays... does that count?
I'm going to put various anime DVDs on my wish list this year, but I'm not sure if my parents will be willing to buy any of it for me. I know my brother won't--the fact that I'm turning into a geek actually scares him for some reason. He made me promise that I'd have a life...
