Ack! No! Why?! Such a difficult choice! They're both so damn good. Wonka's has more to it, but Euro's is so well articulated. BLAGH!

I think I'm gonna have to go with Euro though. That wing is just so awesome. But this is basically a 50.1% to 49.9% winning of my vote.

1-0

And Euro's rule stays, til tuesday then. But someone will prolly hit 12 before that.

The wing is good, and is the selling point of the picture.

Wonka's is a 37 layer opus. Theres texturing, shading, color manipulation, brush art, and special effects. All of these feilds were done better than the opponent, especially the shading.

While these are two different catagories of art completely, Wonka succesfully attempts more, and outshines Euro in what few things the images have in common.

Wonka
Of course his has all that stuff. He didn't draw the picture, and therefor didnt really have to take the time to do it. He DID manipulate a good picture by throwing in discoloration in the form of multiple blocks.
I am not insulting Wonka though. I DO think that his picture is good. But you made it sound like he drew all the shading, texture, and color in it.

Wonka, if I am wrong about any of this (I have the original pic so I know that you didnt draw it) but if you actually added color, texture, or anything like that, shove it in my face and call me wrong.
Thing is, I REALLY hate it when people compare my art with someone elses who had a LOT more time and the right supplies to make it while I have a mechanical pencil, uniball pen, and crayola markers (HIGH FUCKING TECH!!!). Now, If I had the proffessional pens, pencils, paper (btw, I used computer printer paper), and Photoshop and paintshop, then yes, you may compare us as you did. As it is, you compared Pepsi to Popeyes chicken (Beowulf).
Just blowing off steam. That felt good. Now, rub my feet you japanese geisha ninja slut.
Back off flesh fucker.

I actualy added quit a bit of texture, shape and color manipulation. Here is the original if you want to do a side by side.

However, it does not take more skill to draw than it does to sucssefully manip a piece of art. I thruoghly know this because I was a sketch artist (much like yourself) way before I ever used photoshop (I was going to be a character designer for Origin Systems before I discovered the joys of fire fighting). They each take pretty much the same amount of time, effort and creativity, each with their own ups and downs.

The fact is though, I can be far more flashy with photoshop than with a number 2 mechanical pencil.
Now, are you going to count agianst me becuase I chose this medium?
If you wanted to have a sketch battle, I would have been more than happy to accept, but you made no mention of this untill now, when the deadlines up and we are competing.
Nobody should give you mercy points because yours is lower tech, nor should they give you points because you drew it (quite well I might add) and I manipulated a current picture, as I was told that I was able to do it, and again, would have been more than happy to bring on a sketch battle.

And about having alot more time, I am a full time Fire Fighter and emergancy medic. The time Im not working (which I work 24 hour shifts) I am usualy sleeping trying to recover from being on duty for 24 hours. I also constantly attend/teach trainings, EMS in services and what have you, so there arnt many people with less free time than myself on these boards. I just put alot of time and effort into this picture because I wanted to show what I could do for the finals.

Eurononymous.

Wonka's is...interesting, but I'm a sucker for hand drawn pencil / pen and ink art. Euro's picture has a nice, calm aspect to it that I like, too.
I'm out...
