THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE WE KILLING THE CIVILIANS HUH!!!!! IF THIS WERE HAPPENING HERE YOU WOULD SING A DIFFERENT GOD DAMNED TUNE!!!! Its not like im pro saddam, i am against the slaughter of those who have nothing to do this. IF were only after Saddam we would have taken a sniper rifle and shot him, not drop bombs in the middle of a city.

What about the hydrogen car idea everyone is raving about?

I've said it before, I'll say it again: forget hydrogen.

Biodiesel is where it's at. Corn, peanut, soybean, most anything you can get heavy oil out of, as well as methane and natural gas, can be converted into heavy duty biodiesel.

Some benefits:

1. Typically 70% fewer emissions than petroleum based diesel (and probably less with more research into diesel engines for small cars and trucks). Cleaner emissions, too.

2. Localized production. Biodiesel can be made and stored in a house garage, if needed. Additionally, since the US grows a lot of produce, we don't have to import the raw goods from elsewhere, with all the political and enviromental problems that entails.

3. Biodiesel works in existing diesel engines with little to no modification. It also burns cleaner, with less build up, improving engine life. Additionally, any gas station that sells diesel can pretty much just pump it the same way as regular diesel.

4. Biodiesel isn't overly toxic. About the same as dish soap. Not the sort of stuff you'd want to drink, but nowhere near as poisonous as the deadly cocktail known as gasoline.

5. Lastly, biodiesel is renewable, unlike hydrogen (better for energy storage than for energy generation), which requires power to extract - in other words, the pollution and resource depletion is somewhere else, but it is still there. With biodiesel, you just grow more corn, using sun and water and proper farming techniques.

So, I'd say hydrogen is perhaps a fuel for the future, but biodiesel could be now.

Still, anything is better than fossil fuels, in my opinion.

we don't drop bombs in the middle of citys, the new generation of bombs are laser guided, ie. they hit an exact target the targets that have been attacked so far are the bunkers, and mansions of the coward dictator

people die, civilians die, everyone dies...this is war, there is a cost. so your not willing to pay it, fine, but the rest of the country is. Drop the bombs, send in the cavalry. If this were on US soil every American would be shooting at them, there would be no civilians, and then they would all be dead and we would still win.

yeah and bombing is alot more efficient than just shooting a guy that...well another thing that makes the sniping thing pretty much impossible is that WE DONT KNOW WHERE HE IS. --;

I don't think the intelligence services are allowed to assassinate foreign leaders in that manner (at least, not without a military cover).

We may still do that. It would've certainly been easier from the start, I'd suppose, although doing so raises the question, would that still prevent a war?

After all, surgically removing the leader like that creates a power vacuum, and the ensuing domestic bloodshed in Iraq could be VERY ugly. And whose fault would that be?

Ours. It could be even worse for us, image wise and diplomatically, than what we are doing now.

To put it this way: People hate full on brawls (i.e. war), but they hate sneaky sucker punches (i.e. surgical assassination) even more.

So it's war.

hence carpet bombing the whole country....besides, Turkey's army is gonna go through, take advantage of this and kill all the Kurds...then we have a holy war, so civilians not killed by the almost non existant collateral damage, will be killed by them.

Do you seriously think that those "precise" laser bombs only hit there targets. Is that why not to long ago when we used one of those "precise" laser bombs we "accidently" blew up a bunker full of women and children. NOTHING is precise and to believe so, you are only fooling yourself. and if your so pro war, go join the army right now, yes right now and go to Iraq. When you see your friends die beside you and you face death then come back and say war is right. Also while your down there take a long good look at those civilians who will die because of "justice" and "peace" in fact here is a sample of those who will be killed:
