no, it just proves you're too lazy to return them. some people have different tastes, and i for one would not enjoy watching 24 different versions of the crap i've already seen.
this is a stupid thing you do my friend, running out and buying whatever anime looks 'swell' enough. you leave it up to the fat balding man who draws naked cartoon boobies all over his products to buy your entertainment for you. to continue doing this will result in hair loss in naughty places.

when I was watching the Ah my goddess dvds, I watched the english version, the japanese version, aaand the version with commentaries, I also watched the one without vocals so I can add my own...it was lots of fun
I just wanted to say that I personally like the different versions cause then I can see all the differences inbetween them, whether big or small.

But is that how you started watching anime? And if so, imagine had you picked up something like Hamtaro or Hakusho or some shitty anime? Fact is, I am pretty sure a lot of anime fans started with the censored program on TV, then went and started watching other animes, then buying them unedited, then downloading them from wherever, then started bitching about how the TV versions in America sucked. You guys would be bashing your origins in it.
I started with Ronin Warriors on SciFi channel about 10 years ago then saw the movie Akira on Saturday anime. That's how I started. Though now, save maybe 1 or 2 movies and maybe 1 series, I think the whole genre sux my left nut. As so, I came here this morning to make this my final post (again) for sometime, lest there be more snow days with my friends not being able to pick me up.
French toast gives you crabs, thats why you soak it is syrup and ammonia.

I agree that alot of poeple may have started on edited anime, but then again, that anime was probably somehting like DBZ, gundam wing, project ako, or some shitty anime where editing REALLY isn't going to remove any crucial part of the plot, but now with somehting like Eva, editing is going to butcher the presentation, that series for better or worse bordered on art, so by editing it, people would be getting the wrong impresion, but that would be MY reason why I want to watch it unedited, but as far as airing it edited on CN, I don't care, I have enough sense not to watch it on CN in the first place, anyone who doesn't deserves what they get.
