Matrix Revolutions

I liked Revolutions better then Reloaded. Reloaded had alot of pointless footage and got boring at times. Neither compare to the first however.
***************SPOILERS*********************
Revolutions got more to the point. Whoever said it was stupid that more of the movie happens outside of the Matrix missed the entire point and should shut up. Revolutions had more cooler scenes the Reloaded but none of them dragged. Smiths speeches and performances were all good. Someone mentioned that Smith in this one killed it, please. The last speech especially fits with Smith. Go back to the speech he makes with Morphesus in the first one. He hates that world and wants to see it end. He doesn't understand why Neo would get back up, so I can understand his frustration. And then the part were he's getting confused about what happens next. I liked all of that. It fit with the character. The machines are AI they think, of course they wouldn't be able to fully grasp human emotion; they just do their part.
Also, They totally fucked up the oracle in the beginning. Bad scripting on the brothers part. The original actress died, ok, we know this, don't make something up that doesn't even make sense. Just move on with the story. That was bad writting on whoever's part. They could have just said she felt like looking different. Or...not ADDRESS it at all
Other then that, I think revolutions is much better the reloaded. I have no feeling whatsoever to watch reloaded again, but I do want to see revolutions again. I also do not need to watch TV COMMERICALS before the movie, that get repeated!
Notice: it is stupid to use "spoiler" tags. If you don't want to have the movie spoiled, don't fuckin open the damn thread.

Spoiler wrote:Well not only that. Basically Smith's entire purpose was to destroy all the humans. He accomplished that. Once his purpose was fulfilled, he had nothing to do. They said in the 2nd that a program with no purpose is deleted. He accomplished his purpose and had nothing to do. In fact, the last line he says to himself is "Is it over?" and then he nods.

Spoiler wrote:That's not how I understood it. It was said that Smith is Neo's opposite. We know what Neo is the inequality of The Architect's otherwise perfect Matrix program. So, when Smith assimilated Neo, the two cancelled each other out, balancing the equation again.

*Actually* I think you're right and that I was overthinking things. At the same time it makes sense too no?Rozard wrote:dwchang wrote:Spoiler wrote:Well not only that. I found Smith more intimidating in the first and second movies, probably because he was more cool and collected. He didn't really show much emotion (except during the interrogation scene with morpheus) and conducted himself in a very professional manner. In the third one, he would get angry and would even taunt his opponents (Neo and the Oracle). He just didn't leave as strong of an impression on me as he did in the first two.Corran Productions wrote:A agree. Not to mention Reloaded and Revolutions were filmed at the same time...Kracus wrote:Smith's speeches and performances were all good. Someone mentioned that Smith in this one killed it, please.
>_> how is the acting worse than the second...
in regards to the rozard-dwchang discussion, my interpretation was closer to rozard's. smith's purpose wasn't just to destroy all humans at this point: it was to destroy all humans and machines. both he and morpheus were imbalances in the matrix. when they merged, the machine--thing was able to correct the imbalance.

I was under the impression that Deus Ex Machina used the fact that it had Neo plugged in to the Smith program to destroy it from within once he was assimilated, hence the surge of light into him.
