Yeah, the Nintendo RPGs seem to be a weak area at the moment. Square should help boost that some.
Although I'm not seeing anymore real hardcore FFs anymore! XI is online and is lacking a real sense of immersion in the story (or so I'm told), same for XII, X-2 is a sequel and is looking different, and FFCC is Kingdom Hearts style. I see no more traditional FFs in the near future, please don't tell me this is the end!

Unfortunately, it is true. Mostly. FFI is indeed being remade, but only for PSX and it probably won't be released here in the U.S. And even so, it's just a remake. But it does look great! It looks like an improved SNES game, but that's good enough for me. It's totally revamped. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is coming out... but that's not really traditional. Yes, Square is done with the traditional Final Fantasy games. Until we riot. Which we will.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

I can only pray . I heard about the PSX remakes. Although I heard it as Final Fantasy Collection, consisting of 1-3.flint_the_dwarf wrote:Unfortunately, it is true. Mostly. Final Fantasy Chronicles was already released in the US, it consisted of Crono Trigger and FFIV. (Here in the UK we got 6 on its own,(with a FFX demo:?) and European Anthology, which had 4 and 5, not CT release over here, why I bought Chronicles as well).Laniz wrote:yes it's called final fantasy chronicals...of course u could always go ilegal and get the roms off the net..(not saying i do....or don't...lol)
We're talking about I, II and III...

then how would you level? you'd never be strong enough to fight bosses. But yes I'm aware of that charm and gave it quite the work out for several hours, still doesn't tak you NEED the battles.Laniz wrote:yes it is nice to see intedo rpgs back, also adding to the hating of FF6, u know u could have just got a moogle charm and never had to go into random battle again....ever...but anyway Final Fantasy Crystal for GC looks pretty good

NES:
FFI - Released in Japan and US
FFII - Released in Japan only
FFIII - Released in Japan only
SNES:
FFIV - Released in Japan and in the US as FFII, except easier with less items.
FFV - Released in Japan only
FFVI - Released in Japan and US
PSX
FFVII - Released universally.
etc.
I won't go on with the other FFs.
Then they released IV, V, and VI universally for the PSX, under their original Japanese names, in various anthologies.

Wasn't mystic quest supposed to be a stand in for 2?
Madness and genius are seperated only by degrees of success.
I don't think necessity is the mother of invention - invention, in my opinion, arises directly from idleness, possibly from laziness. To save oneself trouble.
