Guns are badass and everything, and I certainly wouldn't downplay the skill and strategy required to put them to effective use, but I do beleive that they lack the romanticism that good old melee weapons have. I do worry, however, about how warfare is becoming increasing impersonal, a trend that started when guns came into use. I wonder what it'll be like when war consists of nothing more than battle between automated systems and remotely operated drone weapons. Financial attrition, perhaps? Will nations hesitate to go to war even less that they do today (which isn't much anyway) since the only significant result is a loss of funds?

War is horrible, but perhaps it's better that way. It makes peace decidedly more appealing.

Now as far as specific weapons go, I don't think you can go wrong with a nice, reliable quarterstaff. Not as flashy as a sword, but every bit as deadly in the right hands. People will tend to underestimate you, as well.

I like hand to hand combat, its the best, but if nececary I would have a gun too. Nothing big just a pistol to keep at my side but it has to intimidate, thats why i'd have a deasert Eagle along with my supper good martial arts skill.

Me i would got with a sword. becauce first they look cool. Also it if any tick me off I just kill them really nicely. and it just look sexy. oh and cut some gut open and have all there organ come out while they are still alive

I'd rather just use a knife. It's more stylish than a gun, and it's less commonly used than a sword.

i'd use a mixture of martial arts, and probably carry a knife, a gun would make me lazy.

but then again I do like to use my own body to fight (even when I get my ass kicked

but i always come back and cut their shins of with my giant Tetsaiga( which when transformed I can barely hold up)
