Well I guess I should say something:
I am the kind of person who isn't affected by stuff like this emotionally but I do feel bad for the astronauts ( no one should die unless its from old age). I feel even worse for their families. Their they were watching as the shuttle was almost back and boom, an accident happens. I do agree that it shouldn't have happened but I have always had the opinion that the shuttle system we have is greatly flawed and it is even worse that they kept it around for so long. I am still waiting for the new Skunk works shuttle that is suppose to still be in production. Back on topic, I think that it is kinda sad but it could have been a whole lot worse, the debris could have killed people when it hit the ground. I think the worst part about this whole thing is space shuttle trips have become so routine that none of us really pay attention to it. It used to be that every take off was a big event but now its just as normal as someone leaving there house, to us. Hell most people didn't even know it was in space and if it hadn't crashed no one would have even known that they were in space at all.
