The Germans have also banned Scientology from Germany - to the point that Microsoft had to provide an alternative defragmentation program with Windows 2000 over there, apparently due to the fact that the regular program is written by a Scientologist.
Good for them, I say. Scientology is just as bad a cult as Nazism.

(not in any particular order)
1. Stratofortress (the last mission in WWII)
2. Mustang ( the Luftwaffe's worst nightmare)
3. Lightining (good ground support)
4. Flying Fortress (the "flying brick")
5. P-40B Curtiss (helped to defend China)
6. though it didn't see much action in WWII when it was developed (1944),
the F-86 Sabre is another favorite

Golden gundam your way off on your timing on some of those planes. The b52 did not fly until 1954 heres a link http://www.af.mil/news/factsheets/B_52_ ... tress.html . Maybe you are thinking the B 36 Peacemaker although http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/air_power/ap39.htm Wonder why we don't still use this thing 83,000 pounds of bombs. Probably you are thinking of the B 29 The superfortress. The P 80 shooting star may be the fighter you are thinking of in 44 but that was just tests it didn't see any action or combat in world war 2. The F 86 was made after we captured the Me 262s and their swept wing technology in 45. Warplanes fascinate me from all ages so keep the posts coming. The F 85 Has always been my favorite jet fighter.

This is about WWII planes you know
Yeah, I'm certain he's thinking Shooting Star and Superfortress on that one.
F-14 is one hell of a platform, yeah. But, it is a bit demanding to support it - it's massive, needs a two-man crew, and is still not much of a bomber. So, the somewhat smaller Superhornet with a one-man crewthat does pretty much everything an F-14 does and then some is a pretty natural replacement.
Now, back to WWII planes PLZ!

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Laugheed P-38 Lightning is way up there, so is the Zero, and Mustang the Shootins Star too. We can't forget the first widly used jet fighter the German Me-262. It preformed identically to the american's later fighter the shooting star.
My Absolute favorite tho is the WW spin off jet the X-1!

Heh Well first off I wouldn't take any rumors of the F 14s retirement too soon. There is no other plane in the world that can track as many targets at the same time. The second man in the tomcat is the radar operator and that makes a big ass difference. Ok back to world war 2. The boeing P 26 Peashooter was the only planes the phillipino air force had. But they managed to take out a couple of zeros! Consider the P 26 was as the name implies from 1926 and a sick joke compared to the Zero thats pretty impressive.
