Spoiler wrote:Exactly. I wish they did more with this. I mean that giant speech somewhat implied there was a bit more beyond that and...nope. It's just a standard straight-forward action flick from then on. I think they could've done some seriously bad ass things after that speech, but they wussed out

I think it’s more along the lines of them creating the first movie and from that popularity tried to make a sequel but couldn’t quite capture everything. The concept is way too big and, well they fumbled it. I enjoyed the movie anyway, but I know it could of done better.
And, I’m pretty sure that yes, the machines only let out the ones that wanted out of the matrix. If I’d stayed I would demand for a perfect world again like the original matrix was. If you recall that dude wanted to go back into the matrix aswell. The Machines could probably advertise, ‘Don’t like reality, why not join a perfect world, be one with the matrix’
The peace wouldn’t last though. Once mankind gets the upper hand they’d try and take over.. Or once they think they have the upper hand.

Question about free will

Post by derek_t » Wed Nov 12, 2003 2:33 pm

Ok, for me I found the last film ok.

Anyway, is it just me or does anyone else find the question of free will to be well boring.

It doesn't really matter either way. I'm not sure whether I'm writing this out of free will or not but I don't care either.

Also to whoever said that "the machines don't understand emotions" did you miss the train sequence in the beginning of the film. Did you miss the kiss scene in the second film

I also got to say I felt very yanked around by the psudo-philosophy (it worked in the first movie with the Alice looking through the glass bit, it did not work here). Also, I was disappointed they didn't explore more issues that were in the second film (Morpheous losing faith could of been added easily, all they had to do was get rid of that speech from Trinity, you know which one im talking about, that like 30 minutes right there)
