Ut Oh.... you said the G word.

The soldiers on the other side of the war are in the exact same scenario. None of the people fighting the war have anything to do with what caused the war. It's kinda sad.

God passing the right to smite others? It's in the bible. God is known for that all up and down the bible. David and Goliath for instance. I don't think he spoke to David directly, but he did empower him to kick Goliath's ass.

God also does some pretty strange things according to the bible... take a look at the egyption plagues. He wants Pharroh to free the people of Israel, yet he influences Pharroh's decision to make him not free the people of Isreal so he can inflict more wrath upon them.

I'm sorry, but God himself isn't just in his actions based on the what I have read. Hell, who gives God the right to say who lives and who dies?

(I mean, yeah, he's God and all... assuming he exists... but that doesn't give him a right to mistreat people and play life and death with them.)

It's not always the fault of the teachers...<a href="http://www.modernhumorist.com/mh/0303/c ... >sometimes the students are just morons</a>.
     I wish we had that rolling on the floor emoticon.

And you are quite right.

I must now reply to SS5_Majin_Bebi uninformed post.

Sir, to metaphorically relate the planet to a living thing is one thing, but your stance appears quite base and humorous. Viral Hemorrhagic Fever is not an "immune response" of the planet, it is merelly something that reproduces in an environment that is produced by primates. Humans most certainly did not "pop" into existence at some point in the past 30 years. And your point about natural disasters is quite laughable, I imagine you would like the new movie "The Core". Its story line is equally as plausible as what you are saying.

The most powerful strain, Ebola Zaire, has a 90% mortality rate. It is officially recognised as one of the worst diseases ever to have existed and whats more, its been around for MILLENNIA! The only reason its recently come out is because humans suddenly popped into existence. Before that, it was silent. It had no-one to infect.

The planet is a living thing, the evidence is all around you. Ebola is just an example of one of its immune responses. The other examples include natural disasters.
And what does all of this have to do with war? Did bullets literally wake the virus up and make it mad?

If you hate humanity and what it has done that much, strip naked and live in the wilderness as an animal. No tools, no clothing, no shelter (man made stuff), and a touchy, non-robust digestive system, no fur, no claws, pathetic teeth, and the ability to run on two legs when everything else uses four, as well as a weak immune system (natural things you have).

You'll hate it and return, or die.
I'm out...

Not Exactly.
More like "Because of the peninsula war and european conflict in africa, WWI. Because of WWI, Hitler. Because of Hitler, WWII."

While I certainly value earthcurrent's opinions and statements, what you gave is poor reason.

No, that's not really the reason I was giving. Just making a bit of fun (lighten up already! this topic's gonna bring me to tears).

Just meant to say that I completely agree. Violence spawns more violence. You know, you slap me, I slap you back, and we start beating at each other with sharp sticks. Even if it is part of human nature, as creatures that consider themselves above others (not that I personally do), we should act accordingly.

I can't wait till the war really...
I just remembered how much technology advanced during the last wars... especially the world wars.

America would probably clean out iraq in a week or so. personally i don't really care of the war. If its my time to die so be it. You can't escape fate.

not that i like it or not, just I simply don't care.

Yeah...just because I teach doesn't mean my opinions on history are more valid than others...

However, I would prefer it if people took the time to understand and learn about the elements that shape our past rather than making statements that suggest that events just happen without any precipitating reasons.

As is shown in school children all the time (and oftentimes adults)
