Re: American POW vids
i have been watching the fucking news and actually they've found two, where the hell you think i've been for the past 2 hours o_O...blackout_sehs wrote:
What is Bush supposed to do...Talk some more? We gave Sadam the last 10 years to comply and he didnt. And if you would watch the news they just found a 100 acre facility for making chemical weapons. If you like though we could just let Sadam go and then he kills more and more people with his WMD. And so what if the US soldiers are prepared to die... that doesnt give the Iraqi regime the right to treat Pow's like that. And again if you py attention to the news oil prices have been on the decline since this war started...so i guess that means now you can get back to fliiping your burgers.
anyway, bush is supposed to let the fucking u.n. manage this shit thats what it's fucking their for, even if he does have WMD (we all know he has them) he still isn't a threat to us, our allies, maybe, but not us, he barely has the technology to launch missles into isreal, that settles the thing about him bombing us, and yea, i know the prices have dropped it shocked me actually that we took their oil feilds that quickly, at first i was all happy that nobody was dying then i wake up and bam we've got civillian casualties, helicopter accidents, fuck we've lost more soldiers to friendly fire and fuck ups than to enemy fire, thats fucking rediculous (fuck i can't spell) and it's like the dood on the news said, war is war and thats what happens in war, it's fucking ugly, why the fuck do you think i don't want war, i fucking hate war, and i don't realy like violence all that much either, and everybody's bitching and moaning about the footage being aired of u.s. pow's, well we aired footage (and still do for that matter) of iraqi pow's, grant it we arn't torturing them, but the genova convition (sp?) says the humiliation of pows and ya gotta admit, it's gotta be pretty humiliating to be escorted with your hands up in the air, being searched at gunpoint, ect... and in all honesty my heart does go out to every single soldier slaughtered in this war, both iraqi and coalition, also every civillian murdered by the coalition, and thats all it is, cold blooded murder... it's not the soldiers fault, i know, their doing their job, the blood lies on the hands of our leaders, that being said...
don't lose hope Hitori, it realy sucks that it hasta come down to this cowardly bullshit of capturing soldiers, damn man's insaciable blood and power lust....

Two things. The hydrogen fuel cell has apparently irreconcileable scale-up problems having to do with purity of the fuel and gradual degredation of the cell. I'm at a tech institute, and none of the professors here have any confidence in the concept becoming practical anytime soon. 2) Where do you think we're going to get the hydrogen from? Distilling it from the air at the purity we need takes more energy than we'd get back from the fuel. There is one good source of H2, though.MistyCaldwell wrote:What about the hydrogen car idea everyone is raving about?blackout_sehs wrote:
I think burning oil is reason enough for the US to get Sadam. It is a crime against humanity to waste a precious natural resource like that. We only have a limited amount of it. And the new infomations about Russia has been giving the Iraqis night vision goggles and airplane electronic scramblers doesnt surprise me either. Once a communist always a communist.
Oil.

Bit of a roundup here....I came in late.MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote:IF were only after Saddam we would have taken a sniper rifle and shot him, not drop bombs in the middle of a city.
The reason assassination wouldn't work is because Saddam's got a whole tier of petty dictators below him just waiting for the chance to step into his shoes. That's why "regime change" has been so important. 'sides, we did give him and his sons 48 hours to get out of Iraq and avert the war...
That does't really demonstrate lack of precision, does it? It demonstrates bad intelligence. You seem bound and determined to prove that we're bombing civillian targets on purpose. If that's the case, then how come Baghdad still has power? (Oh, and "not long ago" was twelve years?)MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote:
Do you seriously think that those "precise" laser bombs only hit there targets. Is that why not to long ago when we used one of those "precise" laser bombs we "accidently" blew up a bunker full of women and children.
See, that doesn't make any sense. Someone going into basic training now wouldn't be ready for battle before the war was over... (Oh, and, just out of curiosity, are you ex-military?)MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote:and if your so pro war, go join the army right now, yes right now and go to Iraq.
Uh, I think you got a bit mixed up there. Guerrilla tactics are what Saddam's loyalist members are using. We're using full-on conventional warfare.MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote: Bombing people is never an answer only an excuse. Bush became impatient. I never said that just talking was an answer either. Like I said before if it were just Saddam than I have no problem, but this guerrilla (sp?) method will only cause more problems.
I have yet to see a single realistic alternative to war in order to remove Saddam. It's not that I'm refusing to listen, I just keep getting told that "there are better alternatives" but I'm never told what they are. PLEASE tell me an alternative that will actually work. Saddam ignored UN resolutions for 12 years, why would he pay attention to them now? If all you're saying is that the UN shoulda done this instead of us, then we're just doing what the UN wouldn't, and fighting a fight they should be fighting. I'm not really sure why it matters, US troops make up the majority of any UN force anyway.
