Making it so that the Matrix was within a Matrix would literally be the worst possible plot twist that would explain Neo's ability to stop the machines. It would completely invalidate everything that had happened up until the discovery of the larger Matrix. All the effort, sacrifice, and beliefs that the character had or made would be completely pointless because they never would have been in control.
The idea of having Neo become "One with the Machines" sounds alright and it's not something that had occured to me but personally I'd prefer if they went with the religious explanation.
Neo's powers in the Matrix are already basically supernatural. No one knows how he is able to do what he does or come close to emulating it. He is treated as a Messiah figure already, so why not make him an actual Messiah? It would bring back the crushed belief systems of the characters and could turn the retaliation of the humans into even more of a jihad than it already is.

When I become an Evil Overlord my Legions of Terror will be an equal-opportunity employer. Conversely, when it is prophesied that no man can defeat me, I will keep in mind the increasing number of non-traditional gender roles.
I am the King of the Easily Entertained.
It is my lifelong goal to make my dieing scream as horrible as possible.

OK, just to clear it up, its not a matrix within a matrix. Zion does actually exist within the real world, its just that, has far has we know for now, the machines basically set it up and allow it to exist so that those who are able to see through the the matrix can escape to there and still be productive, because if they remained with the matrix, theyd destabilize it and cause it to crash. Its pretty apparent that the whole "humans being used for power because the machines have on no other means of producing power" thing is bullshit, especially considering that zion, which the machines themselves set up pretty much, its powered by geothermal power. The real reason will hopefully be made in the 3rd movie. Although if you ask me, it actually already is pretty clear.

You're a fucking idiot. Do you even know what context the original joke was in, obviously not because you FUCKED IT UP and people who fuck up jokes and think they are gods gift to the world of humour are the most expendable type of human on earth.yuppa wrote:Whoa, at least it wasn't intentionalHungryCrackPot wrote:A virgin dodges ejaculation in bullet time during an orgy in the Matrix.

The Matrix Reloaded.
First off: Story was good. Less of the blah blah blah rhetoric, please. Architect was way, way cool.
Okay. The matrix is fine for some people. for the ones who aren't happy, who find it in their being to rebel against their prision, the matrix allows them this belief, by creating for them a 'Real' world to escape to, and a 'messiah' to save them. it's using chaos to establish a more uniform Order. They think they've slipped the reins, but in reality, the reins are just the same.
The Architect said it right out. There is a need for a 'One'. if the matrix needed a 'One' then they would make sure he was able to do his thing, but still, be under their control.
When Agent Smith was attacked by Neo in the First one, His code was cut off from the Source. like the exiled programs. Think about Bane for a second.
Do you think the human brain could carry a computer AI? No, it couldn't. But if the 'real world' wasn't the 'real world' but another level or section of the matrix, then a free-floating program could piggyback onto the guy who made the jump from one area of the matrix (The one we know of) to the 'real' world.
The whole exiled programs thing was cool, but bland. Morpheus should have been cooler with the sword. he came off like a 6 yr old with a whiffle bat.
Neo stopped and sensed the sentinels because he was still in the matrix. The shock of this probably threw him into the coma.
