all day today, i had free time, but when i got on the pc, my brain froze. I couldn't get any amv creation done. wasn't a lack of sources, or lack of wanting to do the vid, i just couldn't do anything.

That happens to me just about every time I sit down to work on a new idea. I can have it in my head and ill start workin on it, but it doesnt pan out the way i want it to, or it just dries up or something. MAN its irritating. Its like the small cut on the roof of your mouth that would heal, if you could only stop tounging it!

Well, I can relate, just not to creating AMVs. I just found myself sitting in front of my homework, staring at it. Just couldn't work on it. I found that the best way of dealing with that is to try your hardest right then and there. If nothing works, take a break, and do something else that is very exhausting. Relax, and then come back to whatever you were doing. I ended up going to hockey, taking shower, and I was all ready to work! Unfortunetely... LOL

(No offense taken. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!)

Anyway, back...sort of...on topic. I don't suffer from AMV block all that much, because I usually have a storyboard to follow. But I get writer's block and artist's block often enough that I can fully relate. It IS a pain in the ass. The best way to cure it is to just start creating. Manipulate ANY footage with ANY song. Just do SOMETHING to jumpstart your creativity.
