Presidential Elections 2004
The campaigns started back when already and so far the dirts flying pretty good with Mr. Bush being the primary target.
The main focus's of the campaigns seems to be a) the economy b) medicare and similar programs and c) the US on foreign affairs, primarily Irag.
So for those of you who can vote or would like to, what would your vote be, as of currently?

Campaigning so fucked, a year before the election and campaigning has begun. It'll get to a point where the moment after the new president is ushered in he'll go on the campaign trail.
Maybe it would be a good idea for the current President to not be able to run any campaigning for re-election. Maybe he could appear on some debates if time allowed. But it's just insane that we're wasting taxpayer money on him going and eating lunch with alot of rich people. WTF.
If they want to get re-elected they should do a good job being president and let the last for years be their 'ad campaign". This though would probably fly over the heads of the masses tho :/

This is the first election where I can actually vote. I plan on voting for anybody else except for Bush. I dont care who it is. I have yet to see the independant parties canidate, I might just vote for them. Im still mad about the current voting system though. Growing up I always believed that every vote counted but in 2000 I found out about the electorial college. I guess it took me so long to find out what it was because growing up I really didn't care. I personally believe that the popular vote is the way we should elect our presidents. The electoral college seems to be a cheap rip off of an election. It make it seem like an entire state votes for one canidate. But back to the point, I will vote for anybody else except Bush.

I think it's obvious
What I really REALLY hope for is a strong democratic candidate. None of the guys so far seem very note-worthy and it worries me. At least we'll have more than a year to get to know them.
Also if Bush just lets the troops sit in the mid-east getting picked off for the next year, I imagine the military votes won't be as grand for him this time around.
Whatever...I can't really imagine the foreign diplomacy front getting a whole lot worse at this point anyway
