Yes Wing chung was Bruce Lee's original starting style.
For 3 years now I've gone through - Isshin Ryu, Judo, TKD, Aikido, Tai Chi, Hapmudo, Jujitsu, Arnis and various methods of self defense against weapons.
I've learned a bit of Sai, Arnis stick, Boken (mostly on my own), nunchuku and bo. I'm best with nunchuku.
I'm workin my way up to Katana, I also wanna learn chain whip and three section staff.

In which style are you learning katana becuz that would be something that i would very much like to learn (in karate you can only learn the short katana).Kracus wrote:I'm workin my way up to Katana, I also wanna learn chain whip and three section staff.
In Tai Chi I have also learnt to fight with a Jo, a Bo and a Spear and they are in respective order:
4ft 5
6ft/7ft
and 9ft-11ft
(although these are educated guesses i'm not used to imperial mesurements )
Ive also learnt a variety of techniques against weapons using only hand-to-hand combat.

Hmmm,
I have been involved with:
Karate
Judo
Tae Kwan Do
Jujitsu
Kuk Sool Won
and now Im being taught by Master Chan. The martial art doesn't have a name, its something that his family has been learning for along time now. It is basically all the other martial arts I've taken roled into one. I'm currently at the stage beyond regular things (kicks, punches, weapons). I am currently learning a form of chi based moves. Apparently I will be able to punch through brick walls when I get done. If you have heard of all the martial arts from Hoikaido (sp?) , there is a form where people make there bodys extremely strong by constantly abusing them. This is partially what I am doing although it also incorporates a form "chi explosion" where when I punch I release all my chi, tis suppose to help my punch greatly. I've seem master chan punch holes in trees before so Im pretty sure it works.

Ummm, Arnis is from....phillipians(sp?) use to be with a sword but changed it to a stick. Using those rattan sticks you'll see when buying weapons. Little longer then your forearm basically. Arnis is also where marines got the name leather neck from. During Vietnam I think, arnis students would attack the marines and cut there neck, the amazing thing about it was the marines would unload their guns in them and it wouldn't stop them. Because they had rituals using drugs and physical conditioning (like today when they have tournaments, they'll stab one another before going out on the mat and having a royal rumble) Anyway, so they started issuing heavier calibur pistols to the Marines and made them wear leather around their necks.)v(ajin Koji wrote:Wow that's a vast array of styles but i've never heard of Arnis b4...Kracus wrote:For 3 years now I've gone through - Isshin Ryu, Judo, TKD, Aikido, Tai Chi, Hapmudo, Jujitsu, Arnis and various methods of self defense against weapons. .

I haven't learned Katana from anywhere. (although I have one ) I want to work my way up to it. When I'm ready, I figure Iaido or a style like it.

That's cool, reminds me of that guy who learned how to throw small objects through anything. He was using toothpicks to go through fish tanks filled with water. I'll never learn anything like that. Lucky that you know him.MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote:Hmmm,
