Well since my current avatar is a animated version of me, I would assume they would say male.

There isn't a lot of emphasises on any feature in my avatar except that it isn't the regular feminine related clothing.

But what do i care, avatars are easily changed and often just reflect points of interest, which all people have, not gender.
