Good, good topic. Since it's related, let me pose a question to some of you. What do you think ghosts are? Do you believe they are actually dead spirits, or something else entirely? I myself don't have an opinion, but I'll share one of the more interesting (to me) theories. One theory I've heard is that maybe they are beings who exist in more than 4 dimensions. Since we are 4 dimensional beings, we wouldn't have the capacity to see, hear, etc. them. But maybe, through some as of yet unkown process, maybe sometimes they become partially 4 dimensional, so we can see something or hear something... our minds can percieve it enough at these times to give it some sort of form. I like this theory, not that I agree with it, but it's interesting.
Now, for my story. I used to visit a cousins house basically every summer. He lived out in the boonies, basically, where his nearest neighbors were... not people you want to get to know. Anyhow, one summer, we were out walking about his property, when suddenly we heard, really faintly, someone saying "help me." We were young, and immediatly decided it was a ghost. We ran back to his house ^^. Later, I was like, "meh, it was probably just a person's voice being carried on the wind, or maybe his older sister playing a trick on us." Well, 3, maybe 4 years later, I'm up there again, and we're wandering around, and we hear it again. Same EXACT voice, saying "help me." This time, I KNEW it wasn't his sister, because she was at my house, an hour and a half drive away, at least. And I know it's not just me, cause he heard it too. Needless to say, I was a tad freaked out, and so was he. We ran ^^. To this day, I don't know what it was. Maybe it was a coincidence. Maybe it was our minds collectivly playing tricks on us. But I somehow doubt it.
And I asked her what she thought that was and she said 'I have no idea and I'm not going back to find out'
