Subliminal Messaging: Is it a Myth?

Post by y2kwizard » Fri Dec 27, 2002 11:09 pm

I've been wondering about this question for a long time. Does anyone know of any instances of subliminal messaging that have worked? Have you ever tried subliminal messaging in your videos?

Just wondering. I wouldn't be surprised if someone put subliminal messages in the version of Eva that Klinky watched..."Misato is hot, Misato is hot...."

No, I would never do that.

Except when I do.

That should answer the question for you.

Duane Johnson put "subliminal" messages in his Dare to be Stupid video as a joke. (They're a little too noticeable to be subliminal :))

Subliminal messages are not a myth.

Most subliminal messages I have read about have been images flickered by.... not words.

Then there is the use of words to suggest something without ever saying it... and creating the illusion in another person's mind that the thought was stated... when it never was.
